Skype in for VoiceFieldApril 3rd, 2009I set up Skype to direct calls into the VoiceField system: VoiceField Public PhonesMarch 26th, 2009Went into the West Village this evening and made a call from a payphone in the White Horse Tavern. VoiceField Feature: SubscribeMarch 25th, 2009Testing new Subscription feature: St. Marks St.OnehengeMarch 13th, 2009Another little experiment done in the house; continuing to fool with VoiceField functionality — there was some temperamental behavior as I called in to the system. I created the following message on the 10th of March, knowing it would become relevant on the 12th: Anticipating the recurrence one-year-to-the-day-later, I invited a few pals over to drink a beer and observe. Pretty enchanting. I’m amazed it worked; then again why shouldn’t it have? At 6:18, little later than I expected, the pencil of light was aligned with my marks on the wall. It was brilliant, but quite fleeting. The cloud cover had become intrusive and the rays were somewhat diffused. Still, very much on target. Ultimately, we agreed: the sun had set. IceconicMarch 10th, 2009VoiceField in development. Here’s a first attempt at embedding a message in a blog, and connecting it with a greater context: A still image and a recorded voice. These were created last week behind my house, when it was so cold. ![]() Three of the four cones I inverted and topped with water in attempt to make ice cones. I checked on the progress the following day: Nice results later that evening; but the next day was, like, 50 degrees, so it was ultimately a bust. But this new voice-blog integration is good. |
