St. Marks St.Onehenge

Another little experiment done in the house; continuing to fool with VoiceField functionality — there was some temperamental behavior as I called in to the system.

I created the following message on the 10th of March, knowing it would become relevant on the 12th:

Here’s the mark and caption I made on the my bathroom wall during the original occurence on March 12, 2008:
Cave Drawing

Anticipating the recurrence one-year-to-the-day-later, I invited a few pals over to drink a beer and observe. Pretty enchanting. I’m amazed it worked; then again why shouldn’t it have?

At 6:18, little later than I expected, the pencil of light was aligned with my marks on the wall. It was brilliant, but quite fleeting. The cloud cover had become intrusive and the rays were somewhat diffused. Still, very much on target.

Ultimately, we agreed: the sun had set. I was, however, slightly concerned that the VoiceField lines were busy at first, which seems to have been a technical problem. I need to contact our VoIP provider.

Then we went out for pizza.
